CemVision is looking for a Technical Project Specialist to lead a green industrial transition.

We’re currently on a journey to grow bigger, faster with the help of a driven technical project manager to help us optimize the process of slag production to cement production.

⚡️ About the role

As Technical Project Specialist you will work closely with our technical and R&D team spending your time on projects related to the steel industry and its various processes for steel manufacture, and the processing of the slags generated.

Key responsibilities include analyzing and explaining the details of various steel making processes, as we look for potential synergies with our low carbon cement products. Specific focus on the novel technologies for making low carbon steel. Participate in dialogues with steel and other industries that generate secondary materials of potential use for our low carbon cements. Development of strategic plans for business and project development, including techno economical analysis of different project ideas related to slags and other 2ndary industrial materials. All with the purpose to empower CemVision to succeed on its mission to decarbonize cement.

☝️ What do you need to succeed?

To be successful, you should have a ‘no-problem-too-big’ attitude and be highly resourceful. This means a lot of drive, an analytical mindset, and being motivated by collaborating with others and getting things done.

We think you have at least a M.Sc./Ph.D. (ideally in any of the following: metallurgical engineering, metallurgy & process modeling, metallurgy & materials engineering), preferably previous experience from the steel or metals industry. We expect you to be an industrious and autonomous thinker, capable of managing the day-to-day as well as plan for the long term.

• EAF metallurgy, secondary metallurgy, downstream steel mill furnaces.

• Metallurgical engineering.

• Making complex things clear and easy to understand.

• Work within climate tech and reverse climate change.

• Sharing and presenting complex ideas to peers, management and customers/partners.

• Coordinate projects between worlds leading scientists and competences from operations in the industry

• Leading R&D, process development and project establishment in early initiation phase including feasibility studies, pilot projects and value engineering practices in complex chemical processes.
