Cemvision is expanding the team with an Industrial Concrete Expert to drive innovation and bridge academic research with industrial applications for ultra-low carbon cement technologies

About the role
As an Industrial Concrete Expert at Cemvision, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing research collaborations, primarily within industrial settings and, to a lesser extent, academic institutions. You will conduct -technical validations and field trials, ensuring accurate and credible data, and collaborate closely with our R&D teams to translate research findings into practical product solutions. Your insights and expertise will contribute directly to enhancing product performance, durability, and sustainability.
This role requires a strong understanding of cement hydration with its impact on concrete properties -, concrete material behavior, and industrial research methodologies. Reporting to the CTO, you will be a key member of our growing team, driving our mission forward.
Core responsibilities:
Lead and manage industrial research collaborations and academic partnerships.
Conduct validation and field trials of Cemvision’s products with a focus on scientific rigor and industrial feasibility.
Collaborate with R&D teams to translate research outcomes into practical applications.
Support grant applications and contribute to academic project proposals.
Represent Cemvision at industry and academic forums through presentations, publications, and conferences.
Drive internal research initiatives to enhance product performance, durability, and sustainability.
What do you need to succeed?
To thrive in this role, you’ll need a passion for innovation, a hands-on approach to research, and a collaborative spirit. Success requires the ability to bridge academic research and industrial needs while contributing to Cemvision’s overarching mission of decarbonization.
We also think you have the following:
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial research projects related to cement and concrete.
MSc or PhD in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, Concrete Technology, or a related field.
Expertise in cement - hydration processes, and concrete material behavior.
Proficiency in laboratory testing methods for concrete durability, strength, and performance.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex research findings effectively.
Familiarity with grant-funded projects and academic publishing.
Passion for sustainability and green technologies.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of Swedish or other European languages is a plus.
