Join the movement to decarbonize the cement industry
The cement industry accounts for approximately 8% of global CO₂ emissions. Changing how cement is produced and used is therefore one of the greatest opportunities to reduce the climate impact of the global construction industry.
Cemvision is a Swedish climate-tech company developing next-generation cement solutions with an extremely low carbon footprint. With products under the Re-ment brand, including Re-ment Massive, the company offers cement that can reduce emissions by up to 70% in the very first year of production and up to 95% a few years later compared to traditional cement.
We are now looking for a Supply Chain Specialist who wants to take a central role in the supply chain team and drive the completion of several CapEx projects in Europe.
This is an opportunity to combine large-scale industrial business with real climate impact.
Role Overview
Department / Team: Program Team / Supply Chain Specialist
Location: Stockholm, Sweden
Employment Type: Permanent
Reports To: Chief Expansion Officer
Purpose of the Role
Cemvision's expansion depends on a supply chain that is as innovative as the product itself. We are now looking for a forward-leaning, data-driven Supply Chain Specialist who will be at the center of that — building and operating a best-in-class function that keeps our multi-million euro CapEx projects on time, on budget, and running without interruption.
A defining part of this role is the development of circular feedstock. You will actively scout untapped waste streams and industrial by-products, going well beyond conventional sourcing to find genuinely circular, verifiable inputs. That means conducting supplier due diligence, assessing quality, traceability, availability, and ESG credentials and applying life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology to validate the environmental footprint of every potential source before it enters our strategy.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the supply chain from the ground up on highly strategic industrial projects, and to have a direct hand in defining what circular feedstock looks like at scale.
Key Responsibilities
As our Supply Chain Specialist, you will focus on these core areas:
Strategic sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and qualify supply sources for critical raw materials. Assist in competitive bidding, negotiate long-term contracts, and build strategic partnerships that reduce cost and supply risk.
Circular resource scouting & evaluation: Identify and evaluate circular by-products and waste streams going beyond conventional raw materials, to strengthen our circular mindset.
Raw material coordination: Manage inbound material flows to keep plant operations running without interruption.
Outbound logistics management: Build up and run a cost-effective dispatch and transportation of finished cement using multimodal logistics (dry bulk trucks, rail freight, and marine vessels) to construction sites, ready-mix batching plants, and distributors.
Supply chain simulation & modelling: Build and run digital supply chain models to stress-test plans, explore "what-if" scenarios, and support strategic decisions.
Operating model design & process optimization: Design and continuously refine the supply chain operating model, workflows, governance structures, and KPIs
Supply chain systems & software ownership: Own master data, troubleshoot issues, and drive initiatives for real-time inventory visibility and tracking.
Key Competencies & Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Logistics & supply chain experience: Background in supply chain operations, ideally in heavy manufacturing, with hands-on experience managing complex, high-volume multimodal logistics, dry bulk trucking, rail freight, and marine vessel dispatch.
Strategic sourcing & supplier research: Experience evaluating and qualifying suppliers, conducting due diligence, and assessing sources against quality, traceability, and ESG criteria.
Analytical & modelling capabilities: Data-driven and naturally curious, with the ability to independently source relevant data, perform rigorous analysis, and draw clear, actionable conclusions to build resilient plans.
Systems ownership: Experience as a business owner or super-user of supply chain platforms (ERPs or similar). Proficient in master data management, system troubleshooting, and training cross-functional teams.
Operational excellence & agility: Able to build or refine operating models, establish clear KPIs, and communicate effectively across manufacturing, procurement, and corporate teams — comfortable doing so in fast-moving, early-stage environments where priorities shift, and roles stretch beyond their formal remit.
Education, Certifications & Communication
Academic background: University degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Languages: English proficiency is required; Swedish is highly desirable; any additional European language is a distinct advantage.
Communication: Able to translate complex ideas into clear, simple terms, ensuring clear alignment across diverse groups.
Nice to have, a strong plus:
Circular economy & waste streams: Familiarity with industrial by-products or secondary raw materials — and an understanding of what makes a source genuinely circular versus simply marketed as such.
LCA literacy: Working knowledge of life cycle assessment methodology or experience collaborating with sustainability teams on environmental footprint evaluation.
Supply chain modelling: Hands-on experience with scenario planning, network optimization, or "what-if" modelling tools.
Process design: Experience building or formalizing supply chain operating models, workflows, or KPI frameworks, particularly in an early-stage or greenfield context.
Personal Attributes
We are looking for individuals who thrive in our company culture and are:
Proactive & hands-on: You take ownership, lead with initiative, and solve problems rather than wait for direction.
Adaptable & resilient: You thrive in ambiguity, pivot when priorities shift, and treat change as an opportunity.
Collaborative & curious: You believe the best results come from shared knowledge, ask great questions, and are genuinely receptive to feedback.
Impact-driven: You focus energy on what moves the needle, keeping the big picture in mind while executing the details.
Clear communicator: You translate complex ideas into simple terms and keep everyone aligned, engineers, partners, and clients alike.
Passionate about the mission: You genuinely care about the problem we're solving and bring real energy to making it happen.
